This week we enter Week Two of Advent with our theme being Peace.
Our opening song for our liturgy...
...reminds us to stay awake in preparation for the coming of the Christ Child.
Last week we lit the first Advent Candle.
This week we lit the first candle and the second candle.
We shared the Gospel. Mr. Hamer visited Jerusalem five years ago.
We reflected on what we learned during our whole school liturgy.
Then it was time for our closing song...
...which reminds us of the great journey Mary and Joseph took.
The children were very solemn as a student body in the gymnasium.
We walk together in anticipation...
...for the coming of Jesus.
Our little elf holding the story we had just read.
A teacher helper...
Typing in some words for the class.
We found some time for play...
...in a creative manner.
Sharing of materials.
We are busy colouring our angels.
Work and play...
...makes school fun!
Check out the star...
...hanging above...
...our classroom Christmas tree!
More construction fun...
...with furniture as supports.
Our Christmas trees...
...adorn the side bulletin board.
So colourful!
Tons of tape are placed on the door...
...in anticipation of our "other" Christmas tree.
With snowflakes too!
A look from outside the classroom with our bells complementing the tree.
Cool angels Mr. Hamer dug up from the past.
Creative colouring.
Thanks to this young man...
...for a great classroom treat...
...shared among all of the children.
Colourful popcorn.
Christmas popcorn!
We are thrilled to have our foyer Christmas tree...
...growing in abundance for the needy in our community!
Have a great evening everyone! Mr. Hamer OCT
Some of the many doors found around the school...
...showcase some interesting creations....
...from the many staff members...
...here at St. Bernard's.
Yes, we wish for snow for Christmas...don't you?
A nice bulletin board.
More scenes...
...from our book fair...
...held in early December.
Lots of items to choose from.
Many books.
A happy trio.
He's still selecting...
...as is he.
A poster friend.
Classmates.
What to buy?
What to buy?
Sister act!
He's picked one!
A busy market place.
Coming into class.
Smiles abound.
Dressed...
...in the Christmas spirit...
...for the French play.
Excitement.
Love the shirt.
Fantastic!
Looking good.
Ditto.
Bell rehearsal time...
...following the director.
We're getting there!
French play time...
...in the Learning Commons.
Each class presented an act.
Lovely.
Great going French teachers.
The bulletin board outside the library.
We learned that number lines...
...can represent so many numbers.
She found her "look-alike!"
Looking great.
A book in her honour!
Check in next week when I will share with you images taken from our Christmas Craft day!
Have a lovely weekend everyone! Mr. Hamer OCT
